Presentation Night - Sunday 9 September 2018

The annual Presentation Night is a night to celebrate a year of achievement and improvement and to recognise outstanding performances.  Trophies are awarded for all teams Year 7 and up, with the President's Trophy awarded to the player who polls the most votes in the Club.  On this night, the Phil Cousins Award is also presented to the Carine Junior Football Club Volunteer of the Year and players achieving the milestones of 50, 100 and 150 games are presented with medals.

On Sunday 9 September 2018, we welcomed players, parents and Life Members of our Club to the Warwick Hockey Centre for our annual Presentation Night. For the very first time, the Carine Junior Football Club also welcome our Year 7/8 and Year 9-11 Youth Girls to Presentation Night.

We were so pleased that Life Members Phil Cousins, Barry Dedman and Ken Rankin could join us, along with the president of the Hamersley Carine Amateur Football Club, John Keeley, a Carine Junior Football Club player in his junior years. Our newest member, ‘Bluey’ the mascot, joined us for the early part of the evening and managed to get himself in a few photos too.

Communications Officer Ann Lord hosted the evening, and introduced President Damon Lonnie at the beginning of the night, who spoke about the Club’s success with our new Clubrooms on Beach Road, the significant increase in membership and the introduction of four girls football teams to the Club. From there, it was all about the players, with the coach of each team providing a summary of the season, thanking the many parents and volunteers that contribute to the success of each team, and presenting awards.

There was a record number of nominations for the Carine Junior Football Club Volunteer of the Year Award, named after Life Member, Phil Cousins. Finalists included Jayd and Pip Holmes (Year 11 Coach and Canteen Coordinator), Luke Richardson (Social Events Coordinator) and Brett Wills (Year 8 Coach) with the very worthy winner being outgoing Property Manager Mike Harrison.

The President’s Trophy, awarded to the player who polls the most votes, went to Campbell Henderson, Year 9 Cats, for the second year in a row.

A full list of award winners are listed below our gallery of the evening's event.  You may 'right click' to select and save individual images for your use on social media (or press and hold on a smartphone or tablet).  Our sincere thanks to our photographer for the evening, Shania Ireland from SportsPix Photography.
