On Sunday 10 September in the evening, we hosted a Pizza Night for the combined Warwick Greenwood Carine Year 12 Demons and their parents at our new clubrooms. This year we were delighted to join forces with Warwick Greenwood to field a Year 12 Team and enable our young men to finish their junior playing years with the club they started with as five year olds.
Carine Junior Football Club President Damon Lonnie and Warwick Greenwood Junior Football Club President Helen Watkinson addressed the players and parents and thanked coach Gareth Bryant, and his father Norm, Doug Hamilton and our own Alan Thomas (assistant coaches) for looking after the boys so well throughout the year. Team managers Jane Tilley and Mark Hewitt were not forgotten either and Alan and Doug were commended for bringing the two clubs together in such a successful manner. The 2017 shirt design was definitely a highlight!
We wish our Year 12 playing group the best of luck in their future endeavours. Of course you're all invited to your respective Open Rules Presentation Nights and we would love to see you staying connected with our club. Your future is bright and you have many options should you choose to play on to senior football. We know for those who have played for Carine that the Hamersley Carine Amateur Football Club will welcome you with open arms and we'd love to see you around our new clubrooms in 2018.
