Youth Trophy Presentations - Sunday 17th September 2023

The annual Youth Trophy Presentations are an event to celebrate a year of achievement and improvement and to recognise outstanding performances.  Individual trophies are awarded for all teams Year 7 and up, with the President's Trophy presented to the female and male player who poll the most votes in the Club. At this event, players achieving the milestones of 50 and 100 games are presented with a commemorative medal and a number of important Club awards are announced.

Our Club continues to grow, both in membership and team numbers and this year we continued the recent tradition of holding the awards at the Clubrooms, from 3.00pm. Our Year 11/12 and Club awards were held from 7.00pm. Players and parents attended for the awards at their nominated timeslot and enjoyed a sausage sizzle afterwards. The coach of each team provided a summary of the season, thanking the many parents and volunteers that contribute to the success of each team, and presented milestone game medals and the individual awards.

Our milestone medallists are listed below with the individual award winners.

The President’s Trophies are presented to the male and female players who poll the highest number of votes in the Club. Benji Palmer, Year 7, polled the most votes overall in the Sunday competition and was presented with the President’s Trophy for the boys - congratulations Benji. The female President’s Trophy was Jasmin Barram, Year 9/10. Well done Jasmin.

John Keeley, President of the Hamersley Carine Amateur Football Club and league coach Troy Arnold and female captain Meagan Aylset, and 2024 Newly Appointed Colts Coach – Andrew Vawser presented the HCAFC Awards for the highest polling players in the oldest age group (i.e. the highest polling Year 12 boy and girl in the Year 11/12 competitions). Congratulations to Luca Boschetti and Brooke Perry. We sincerely hope you continue with your football beyond Year 12, hopefully with the Hamersley Carine Amateur Football Club in 2024.

We had several Life Members joining us this year, including Phil Cousins, Geoff Hampton, Alan Briggs and Brett Wills. They were on hand to support the award recipients, and induct our newest Life Members, Ann Lord and Jan Cater at the conclusion of the evening.

The Barry Dedman/Phil Cousins Volunteer of the Year award, named in honour of two of our Life Members, was awarded to Richard Birch. Congratulations to Richard who has been a wonderful ambassador for Carine Junior Football Club as a whole. Richard has been invaluable at coordinating the entire group of team managers for the past 2 season. Keeping everyone up to date with relevant information, solving problems and providing support when needed.

Worthy finalists included Paul Neale, Lachlan Howarth, John Stewart and we acknowledge their contributions to the Club in 2023.

It was an honour to present a Junior Life Membership pin to a player who played 125 games of junior football for the Carine Junior Football Club, Luke Bell. We acknowledge that playing for one club throughout junior football is significant. We were delighted to present a ONE CLUB Carine Junior Football Club keyring to our departing Year 12 girls and boys who have played many years with our club.
