The Carine Junior Football Club is proud to announce a preseason girls football tour for March 2021.
The tour is open to new and existing girls from Year 7 through 12 who are registered with the Club and will take place in the Bunbury/Busselton region of Western Australia over the weekend of March 19 to 21, 2021.
At this stage, the tour is expected to cost in the range of $220 - $250 and will include:
two games of football against local teams;
accommodation;
meals including a Friday evening team dinner;
an event based Saturday morning activity;
possibly some transport while in the region;
tour merchandise; and
other fees and consumables as part of the football program.
Final tour costs will be calculated closer to the date once group numbers are confirmed and fundraising activities have taken place.
Our group will be staying in dormitory style accommodation at the Scripture Union Campsite in Busselton and the teams will be accompanied by Coaches, Managers and official tour chaperones. Families are welcome to stay at the accommodation if space is available but the expectation is that all girls involved in the trip will stay together as a group.
At this stage, a possible planned trip itinerary is as follows:
Friday PM
Private travel to campsite, settle in, team meetings, team dinner
Saturday AM
Campsite team activity, breakfast, organised group activity, lunch at accommodation
Saturday PM
Travel to local oval, game preparation, play game 1, dinner at local football club
Sunday AM
Breakfast, travel to local football club, play game 2, lunch at local club, private travel home
Fundraising events and activities are planned to support the cost of the trip and more details will follow in the new year. We will certainly welcome parent support with the trip including fundraising and event planning, and at this stage we are seeking expressions of interest from any parents who hold a valid LR or MR licence and would be willing to drive a 22 seat coaster for the weekend of the trip once we have arrived in the region.
