Last night we hosted parents of Modified Rules players at our Clubrooms for an information night.
Aimed at parents of thoe transitioning from Auskick to Year 3/4 Modified Rules (or Junior Girls), Damon Lonnie, President, welcomed all parents and talked about the Club, our committee and our growth.
Brad Hearn, Coaches Coordinator and Vice-president, introduced the changes parents will see in the move from Auskick to Modified Rules and answered questions from parents about wrap tackles, exclusion zones, umpiring, etc.
Ann Lord, Communications Officer, shared the West Australian government's True Sport initiative and explained how the Carine Junior Football Club intends to integrate the eight values (below) into all Club acitivities:
- Bring your best
- Play fair
- Show respect
- Have fun
- Be healthy
- Inclue all
- Give back
- Be safe
Finally, Alan Thomas, Volunteer Coordinator, explained the development pathways for boys and girls and how parents can be involved, not only with their child's team, but as part of our committee.
